Settlements

The settlement assistant calculates which goods you need for a complete run through a settlement – and how far along you currently are. Each civilization (Vikings, Aztec, Egypt, Japan, Mughal Empire, etc.) has its own 4 goods and a fixed building order.

  • Where?
    • Menu → Settlements
  • Favourites / Presets
    • Preset: Clicking opens the preset configuration.
    • Behind it, the selection menu for saved settlement setups (presets).
    • Each preset is a civilization with its goods configuration, storage values and progress state – so you can jump between multiple settlements. You manage them via the "Presets" button.
    • On the preset page, entries can be moved up or all deleted at once.
    • General explanation of favourites
  • Setting Up a Settlement
    • First select the desired civilization.
    • The setup is then displayed, where you can enter the goods needed per building for this run. The table then shows the cumulative sum of all goods for the entire run.
    • Confirm the values with the "Save" button.
  • Settlement Setup
    • To edit the needed goods afterwards. If a mistake slipped in (wrong amount of goods): open "Settlement Setup" → adjust the list → "Save". The table updates immediately.
    • Each row = one building in the unlock order. The first column shows the name, the 4 goods columns behind it show the amount that this building costs.
    • Buildings that only need one or two goods (the early ones) simply have "-" in the other columns – that's normal and doesn't need to be filled in.
    • The values are stored in the active settlement preset – not globally. So each preset has its own goods configuration.
  • Marking Progress
    • On the left of the table there's a marker for each building. Mark the last completed building – everything up to that marker is counted as "done" and subtracted from the remaining need.
  • Storage
    • Enter the goods you currently have in storage here (top of the table).
    • The need from the columns is added per good to give a simpler overview of the total requirement.
    • If enough goods are available, the corresponding fields are highlighted in green – so you immediately see what's still missing and what already suffices.
  • Research / Quests
    • Toggles between the unlocks (research) and the quests.
    • Research: Shows all unlockable buildings of the civilization. Completed research can be excluded from the calculation by setting the option selection (small circle on the left in each row).
    • Quests: Shows all quests to be solved one after another. With the option selection (small circle on the left in each row) you can mark the current state.
  • Reset
    • Completely resets the current settlement – markers, storage values, goods configuration. The civilization selection is also deleted and has to be made again. If you've finished a run and want to start with another civilization, this is the fastest way.
